How to Use the Fora IR20 Thermometer with aTouchAway to Check your Temperature

Step-by-step instructions to check your temperature using the Fora IR20 thermometer connected to the aTouchAway app.

Your Fora IR20 thermometer should have already been paired to your tablet by your healthcare provider.  These instructions will show you how to respond to the tablet when you receive instructions to check your temperature.

The following screen will show on your tablet. 

To Check your Temperature

To take your temperature, you will need to attach a clean probe cover to the thermometer.  If the probe cover is not firmly in place, the thermometer will not work. 

Turn the thermometer ON by pressing the button on the front of the thermometer below the LCD screen. 

Place the temperature probe (with the cover) into your ear canal.  Press and hold the button on the back of the thermometer until you hear a beep.  You should see the temperature reading on the LCD screen. 

Tap the Ok button on this screen in your app:

You should see the device connect to the tablet.

The temperature reading should appear in the app following this connection.  

If the device fails to connect, you may choose to enter your temperature manually.  Tap Here above the Done button to return to the main screen.  Select Manual entry and enter your temperature results as they appear on your thermometer.
